Ya'a teeh and welcome to the official Navajo Nation, Office of the Navajo Tax Commission (ONTC) website! The Office of the Navajo Tax Commission administers and audits seven taxes in the Navajo Nation, the largest Indian reservation in the United States.
Our mission is to promote tribal sovereignty by collecting tax revenues and to provide taxpayers quality service by helping them understand their tax responsibilities through fair and just application of Navajo tax laws.
On February 18, 2010, the Navajo Tax Commission approved amendments to the Sales Tax Regulations and the Fuel Excise Tax Regulations. These amendments will become effective on April 3, 2010.
